Conflict of interest policy

The trustees of ALLEF recognise that they must report any matters that could impair their ability to act independently, in the best interests of ALLEF and its beneficiaries.

All trustees make an annual declaration of any other companies or charities where they hold office.

The trustees consider that a conflict of interest is most likely to arise in two areas:

  1. Financial – in the event that travel on ALLEF business reimbursed expenses that would have been incurred in any case
  2. Matching of exchange families – no trustee can be involved in any matching or assessment processes that affect their own child, or any child related to them, or the child of a close friend or business associate

This policy will be placed on the ALLEF website and reviewed 3 yearly.
